Why WSI changes the game — and why you will need a transfer partner
Western Sydney International is Sydney's first curfew-free airport, which means flights can land and depart at any hour. Red-eye arrivals, midnight departures and everything in between. For Mascot residents and businesses, that also means a genuine reason to travel west, because some routes and fares will only exist at WSI.
There is a catch: Sydney Metro and train services do not run overnight
If your flight touches down at 2am, or you need to check in for a 4am departure, public transport simply is not an option during those hours. That applies at both airports, and it bites hardest on the long run out to Badgerys Creek. How far is Mascot from Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport?
Mascot borders the airport, so most pickups are a 5 to 10 minute drive to the terminals. The suburb shares its name with the airport for a reason. What that short distance does not solve is capacity, and that is usually why people call us: a family with six suitcases, a school group of forty, or a conference delegation arriving across several flights all need a vehicle rather than a train platform.
Do I really need a transfer if I live in Mascot?
Honestly, if you are travelling alone with a carry-on at midday, the train from Mascot station will do the job. Book us when the maths changes: a group of any size, heavy or awkward luggage, sports or music equipment, a 3am departure when trains are not running, or a schedule where everyone needs to arrive together. When does Western Sydney International Airport open to passengers?
Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport begins passenger operations in October 2026, following the start of cargo flights earlier in the year. Airline services will expand progressively through late 2026 and into 2027. We are already taking transfer bookings for travel dates once passenger flights commence.
Do you run airport transfers overnight?
Yes. We operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This matters most at WSI, which is Sydney's first curfew-free airport, so flights can arrive and depart at any hour. Sydney Metro and train services do not run overnight, which leaves a genuine gap for anyone landing at 2am or checking in for a 4am departure. Our transfers cover those hours.
Can you collect from hotels around Mascot and the airport?
Yes. Hotel pickups are routine for us, across the Mascot, Botany, Wolli Creek and Green Square hotel corridor. We can run a single collection or a repeating shuttle across a conference or event, coordinating with the hotel's concierge on timings and kerbside access.
How many passengers can you carry?
Our fleet covers small parties through to large groups.
